Swedish heavy rock veterans Graveyard have apparently decided subtlety has had enough time in the sun.
The band has unleashed the stomping new single “A Means To An End,” our first taste of their seventh studio album, Fever, arriving October 9, 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records.
Three years after the darker, more introspective atmosphere of 6, Graveyard are turning up both the temperature and the amplifiers. Fever promises a heavier, more immediate version of the band, loaded with fuzz, distortion, blues and the kind of enormous riffs that sound considerably better when played at irresponsible volume.

Graveyard Fever Turns Up the Fuzz, Grooves and Heat
If 6 found Graveyard wandering through the shadows, Fever sounds ready to kick the door off its hinges.
Album opener “Back From The Grave” reportedly arrives armed with massive Sabbathian grooves, while “Time To Tell” taps into the rootsy grandeur of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Elsewhere, songs including “Room Tempered,” “Tongue Tied” and new single “A Means To An End” take a more direct, hard-hitting rock approach.
That shift doesn’t mean Graveyard have abandoned the blues-drenched soul that helped make Hisingen Blues such a defining record for the band.
Instead, Fever appears to drag that old spirit into something hotter, heavier and considerably more irritated.
Album closer “Dead Note” slows things down and reconnects with Graveyard’s bluesier side, although this time the melancholy reportedly arrives carrying a healthy dose of anger.
Graveyard Bring in Pelle Gunnerfeldt for Fever
Graveyard have also brought some serious firepower into the control room.
Mixing duties were entrusted to Pelle Gunnerfeldt, whose résumé includes work with The Hives, Refused and Viagra Boys.
It’s a pairing that makes considerable sense for an album built around capturing raw energy rather than polishing every dangerous edge off it.
Mastering was handled by Robin Schmidt at 24-96 Mastering.
Formed in Gothenburg in 2006, Graveyard have spent two decades building their own strange corner of heavy rock, pulling vintage blues, psychedelic rock, doom-laden weight and classic hard-rock swagger into something unmistakably their own.
With Fever, that sound appears to be getting another shot of adrenaline.
Fever Gets Striking New Artwork
The musical shift comes with a visual one.
After the restrained and mysterious artwork surrounding 6, Graveyard have gone considerably bolder for Fever, recruiting acclaimed Dutch artist Maarten Donders.
Donders previously collaborated with Graveyard on their split 7-inch with Goat and has become deeply connected to the heavy underground through his work for Roadburn Festival.
His portfolio stretches across more than 50 artists, ranging from Acid King to the rather less easily categorized Frank Zappa.
Not a bad neighborhood.
Graveyard and Blues Pills Hit the Road
Graveyard already have two No. 1 albums in their native Sweden, and Fever will come with an appropriately loud touring cycle.
The band will begin by heading across Scandinavia on a co-headlining run with Blues Pills, celebrating the arrival of the new record on home turf.
More extensive touring across Europe and the UK is expected to follow, along with festival appearances throughout 2027.
Twenty years after forming, Graveyard aren’t emerging from the crypt sounding particularly interested in behaving their age.
They’ve come back from the grave.
And apparently they’ve caught a Fever.
