Ozzy Osbourne Halloween Horror Nights Brings the Prince of Darkness to Life
The Prince of Darkness is getting his own haunted house, and frankly, it’s difficult to imagine a more natural habitat.
Universal Studios is bringing Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness to Halloween Horror Nights 2026, transforming Ozzy’s music, imagery and gloriously twisted mythology into an immersive haunted attraction at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.
Developed with the support of the Osbourne family, the house is being created as a tribute to Ozzy’s extraordinary solo career. Rather than simply plastering bats and pentagrams on the walls and cranking up “Crazy Train,” Universal is digging through the entire crypt.
All 13 Ozzy Osbourne solo albums have provided inspiration for the attraction, with scenes, characters, Easter eggs and other details pulled from across his career.
And yes, this thing sounds wonderfully insane.
All Aboard the Crazy Train
Described as “a living horror movie through the lens of Halloween Horror Nights,” Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness will take guests through a nightmarish version of Ozzy’s life and imagination, beginning near Birmingham, England, where the future Black Sabbath frontman was born.
With “Crazy Train” providing the soundtrack, visitors will enter the Osbourne Asylum, a warped environment inspired by his 1981 masterpiece Diary of a Madman.
From there, the decades begin to unravel.
Different incarnations of Ozzy will emerge throughout the attraction, including Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy and the Prince of Darkness himself, bringing some of the singer’s most recognizable personas to life in decidedly less-than-friendly surroundings.
Albums represented in the soundtrack include Blizzard of Ozz (1980), Diary of a Madman (1981), Bark at the Moon (1983), No More Tears (1991), Scream (2010) and Ordinary Man (2020).
Universal also promises hidden references for the diehards, meaning obsessive Ozzy fans may want to keep one eye peeled for Easter eggs while keeping the other on whatever fresh nightmare is trying to chase them down the corridor.
Good luck multitasking.
Sharon and Jack Osbourne Celebrate Ozzy’s Legacy
Sharon and Jack Osbourne said the attraction captures something that remained central to Ozzy throughout his career: finding new ways to drag fans into his strange little universe.
“Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created,” Sharon and Jack said in a joint statement.
They praised Halloween Horror Nights for bringing that spirit into the attraction, adding that fans will recognize numerous moments inspired by Ozzy’s music and imagination.
“It’s a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together.”
For an artist whose career spent decades cheerfully wandering through madness, monsters, graveyards, occult imagery and creatures barking at the moon, a Halloween Horror Nights house feels less like an unlikely tribute and more like someone finally remembered to give Ozzy the keys to the building.
Thirteen Albums of Darkness
John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, said the house was designed to honor the enormous cultural footprint Ozzy left behind.
“Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just help define heavy metal,” Murdy said. “He created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror.”
Universal has worked with Ozzy before, but this time the focus is firmly on his solo legacy.
According to Murdy, guests will travel through surreal environments inspired by all 13 albums and the dark worlds that helped establish Ozzy as heavy metal’s eternal Prince of Darkness.
At Universal Orlando, Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development Mike Aiello said authenticity was particularly important to the team.
Working with the Osbourne family allowed Universal to build an experience intended to capture not only the music, but Ozzy’s personality and creative imagination.
Fans should also expect “meaningful details” and Easter eggs scattered throughout the house as they encounter memorable moments inspired by his career.
In other words: look everywhere.
Except possibly behind you.
Ozzy Joins a Monster Halloween Horror Nights Lineup
The Prince of Darkness won’t be haunting Universal alone.
The 2026 Halloween Horror Nights lineup also reaches across horror movies, television and gaming with attractions connected to Fortnite, Evil Dead Burn, Hellraiser, Stranger Things and Ryan Coogler’s Sinners.
Universal has partnered with Sinners producers Ryan Coogler, Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian to bring the film’s blood-soaked world into Halloween Horror Nights.
That attraction will transport guests to Club Juke, where the evening deteriorates rapidly once the red-eyed vampires Remmick, Bert and Joan arrive looking for dinner.
Guests will encounter characters from the film including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline and Cornbread, while becoming trapped in the violent struggle between twins Smoke and Stack and the vampires hunting them.
So, basically, Universal has constructed an evening where you can escape vampires, wander through Ozzy Osbourne’s subconscious and voluntarily pay money to have monsters leap out of dark corners at you.
Halloween has clearly gotten ambitious.
When Does Halloween Horror Nights 2026 Begin?
Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights at Universal Orlando Resort from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, November 1, 2026.
The nightmare begins shortly afterward on the opposite coast, with Universal Studios Hollywood running from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, November 1, 2026.
Tickets for both events are on sale now.
For metal fans, though, Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness is more than another haunted house.
Ozzy spent more than five decades turning darkness into theater. Madmen, demons, werewolves, graveyards, madness and death were woven throughout his music and visual identity, usually accompanied by that unmistakable grin suggesting he was having considerably more fun with the whole thing than everyone accusing him of being dangerous.
Now those worlds are becoming physical.
The Prince of Darkness may be gone, but this Halloween, Universal is turning the lights down, opening the asylum doors and letting the madness out.
All aboard.
