NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos arrives as more than another extreme metal single.
For the first time in the Brazilian death metal band’s 30-year career, NervoChaos has released a song performed entirely in Portuguese, tying the group’s native language directly into one of the darkest chapters of its catalog.
NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos is the second preview from the band’s upcoming fourteenth album, Chaosmongers, due November 13, 2026 through Black Lion Records.
The track also comes with a horror-heavy music video created by Brazilian filmmaker Rodrigo Aragão, pushing the single beyond standard death metal imagery and into something rooted much more deeply in Brazilian horror tradition.
NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos Marks a First for the Band
After three decades of releases, touring and relentless extreme metal, NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos gives the band something genuinely new to say.
The song is the first NervoChaos track performed entirely in Portuguese, a decision that immediately gives the material a different character.
Rather than translating the band’s identity into English-language death metal conventions, the track leans fully into where NervoChaos comes from.
That matters.
Brazilian extreme metal has always had its own history, its own violence and its own atmosphere. On NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos, the band finally places the Portuguese language directly at the center of that world.

The music video for NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos was produced and scripted by Brazilian horror filmmaker Rodrigo Aragão.

Instead of borrowing generic occult visuals from the usual extreme metal toolbox, the video draws from Brazil’s own horror tradition.
The band describes the song as the story of a supernatural ruler of the dead, an entity capable of returning the deceased to the world of the living.

NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos will appear on Chaosmongers, the band’s fourteenth studio album.
The record arrives November 13, 2026 through Black Lion Records, with CD and vinyl editions also licensed in Brazil through Tumba Records.
Chaosmongers contains twelve tracks, including eleven new songs and a cover of “Porcos Sanguinários” by Brazilian punk and hardcore legends Ratos de Porão.
The album explores chaos as something larger than destruction.
According to the band, the record treats chaos as a force capable of breaking boundaries, reshaping identity and creating new realities.
That theme runs through the album’s imagery as well.
The visual identity for Chaosmongers was created by Niklas Sundin and combines cosmic imagery with the energy of live audiences, linking galactic destruction with human transformation.
NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos Pushes the Band Deeper Into Its Own Identity
There is something refreshing about hearing a veteran band still find a way to make a first.
After 30 years, NervoChaos could easily operate on autopilot.

Surviving 30 years is impressive.
Still sounding hungry after 30 years is more interesting.
NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos suggests the band is not interested in simply recycling the same formula until the wheels fall off.
The track takes familiar NervoChaos aggression and places it inside a framework that feels more closely tied to Brazil itself.
Portuguese language, Brazilian horror, Brazilian extreme metal history. None of those elements feel bolted on.
And that may be the most compelling part of NervoChaos Lorde dos Mortos.
After three decades of chaos, NervoChaos is still finding new ways to make that chaos sound like home.
