Foghat Live & Loud Across The USA
More than five decades into their career, Foghat are still doing what they were built to do: getting onstage, turning up and letting the boogie loose.
The veteran rock band will release Live & Loud Across The U.S.A. on October 30, 2026, marking the first official live album featuring Foghat’s current lineup of founding drummer Roger Earl, guitarist Bryan Bassett, vocalist and guitarist Scott Holt, and bassist and vocalist Rodney O’Quinn.
The album will arrive through the band’s own Foghat Records, with distribution by Select-O-Hits, part of the Sun Records family.
Rather than entering a venue with the specific intention of making a live album, Foghat assembled Live & Loud Across The U.S.A. from performances recorded in cities across the United States during their extensive 2024 and 2025 tours.
That gives the record something considerably more interesting than a carefully staged concert document. It captures the current incarnation of Foghat doing exactly what the band has spent more than 50 years doing: working a stage.
According to Earl, many of the songs included on the collection have never previously been issued as official Foghat live recordings.
The first taste of the album, “My Babe,” is available now on digital platforms.
Foghat Go Big With Triple-Vinyl Edition
For collectors, Live & Loud Across The U.S.A. is getting a substantial physical release.
The collection will be available as a triple 180-gram color-vinyl set, with the Foghat live album spread across two gold records.
A third red vinyl LP contains Shaken & Stirred by Earl & The Agitators, the project featuring members of Foghat that Earl describes as another part of the Foghat story rather than an entirely separate band.
Originally released digitally in 2018, Shaken & Stirred will make its vinyl debut as part of the new collection.
A double-CD edition of Live & Loud Across The U.S.A. is also planned, along with a limited run of numbered and autographed vinyl copies.
Foghat’s Current Lineup Gets Its Live Document
The significance of Live & Loud Across The U.S.A. goes beyond adding another live record to a catalog stretching back to the early 1970s.
It is the first full live album documenting this version of Foghat.
Earl remains the link to the band’s formation in 1971, while Bassett has spent more than three decades in Foghat. Holt, who previously spent more than a decade touring and recording with blues legend Buddy Guy, and former Pat Travers Band bassist O’Quinn complete a lineup that has continued taking Foghat’s blues-heavy rock and roll around the world.
The same lineup recorded Foghat’s most recent studio album, Sonic Mojo, released in 2023. The record went on to spend 34 weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Blues Albums chart and reached No. 1, giving Foghat the first Billboard chart-topping album of their career.
The band has hardly retreated into nostalgia since.
Following their Slow Ride 50th Anniversary Tour in 2025, Foghat are currently on the road for their 2026 Twang & Bang Tour, with performances continuing into 2027.
More than 55 years after Foghat formed, Live & Loud Across The U.S.A. isn’t being presented as a farewell document or a museum piece.
It is a snapshot of a band that is still very much working.
And apparently, Foghat still have no particular interest in taking that slow ride into retirement.
