Arch Enemy are heading back to their roots, and Los Angeles is getting something far more intimate than the usual arena-sized assault.
Swedish melodic death metal heavyweights Arch Enemy have announced an exclusive November 19 performance at 1720 Warehouse in Los Angeles, promising a night of forgotten classics, deep cuts, and old-school favorites drawn from nearly three decades of metal history.
Dubbed Back to the Root of All Evil, the Arch Enemy Los Angeles show will take place just days after the band concludes its Wrath Across America co-headlining tour with The Black Dahlia Murder.
Joining them for this special performance will be Brazilian death metal outfit Crypta and Los Angeles metallers Thrown Into Exile.
Tickets are on sale now.
Arch Enemy Los Angeles Show Promises Forgotten Classics and Deep Cuts
For longtime Arch Enemy fans, this isn’t simply another stop on the touring calendar.
The November 19 performance promises a deliberate return to the band’s earlier material, offering audiences an opportunity to hear songs that rarely find their way into contemporary setlists.
Guitarist and founder Michael Amott is particularly enthusiastic about bringing the intimate concert format to the United States after a successful series of European club performances during the summer.
“Adding this intimate show at the very end of our North American tour will be an insane way to wrap it up,” Amott explains.
“We had so much fun doing these across Europe over the summer, so why not bring one to L.A!”
The guitarist also promises a setlist that digs deeper than the band’s familiar live staples.
“We’ll be digging deep into the ARCH ENEMY archives for this one — old songs and forgotten gems, just pure fucking metal in downtown L.A.! Can’t wait to see you all there!”
That promise should resonate with fans who have followed Arch Enemy from their earliest recordings through the band’s multiple lineup changes and musical transformations.
Rather than relying exclusively on modern concert favorites, the performance offers an opportunity to revisit the material that established Arch Enemy as a defining force in melodic death metal.
A New Era With Lauren Hart Meets Arch Enemy’s Past
The Arch Enemy Los Angeles show also arrives during one of the most significant transitions in the band’s recent history.
In February 2026, Arch Enemy officially introduced former Once Human vocalist Lauren Hart as their new frontwoman following the departure of Alissa White-Gluz in November 2025.
Hart’s arrival was accompanied by the single “To the Last Breath,” a ferocious introduction to the band’s latest incarnation.
The lineup change marked another turning point in a history that has included several influential vocalists.
Angela Gossow’s arrival in 2001 helped propel Arch Enemy to greater international recognition, establishing her as one of extreme metal’s most prominent vocalists. White-Gluz subsequently fronted the group through releases including War Eternal, Will to Power, Deceivers, and 2025’s Blood Dynasty.
Now, with Hart leading the charge, the prospect of hearing older material performed by a new voice adds another dimension to the upcoming Los Angeles performance.
For a band approaching its thirtieth anniversary, revisiting its roots while introducing a new vocalist makes for an intriguing combination.
Arch Enemy and The Black Dahlia Murder Bring Wrath Across America
Before returning to Los Angeles, Arch Enemy are crossing North America alongside The Black Dahlia Murder on their co-headlining Wrath Across America tour.
The extensive run brings together two established forces in extreme metal, with support from Septicflesh, Crypta, and Thrown Into Exile.
The tour is scheduled to conclude November 16 in Seattle, setting the stage for Arch Enemy’s special November 19 club performance.
While the co-headlining trek delivers a broader extreme-metal showcase, the intimate Los Angeles date will focus on Arch Enemy’s own history and less frequently performed material.
For fans interested in experiencing the band’s earlier catalog outside the usual festival or large-venue environment, the smaller setting offers a different kind of live experience.
Three Decades of Arch Enemy’s Melodic Death Metal Legacy
Founded in 1996 by guitarist Michael Amott, Arch Enemy emerged from Sweden’s influential melodic death metal movement with a sound built on technical precision, aggressive rhythms, and unmistakable twin-guitar harmonies.
Their 1996 debut, Black Earth, established the foundation for a catalog that would eventually take the band from underground recognition to international festival stages.
Albums including Wages of Sin, Anthems of Rebellion, Doomsday Machine, and Rise of the Tyrant helped define the group’s identity while expanding its audience.
Later releases continued that evolution, culminating most recently in Blood Dynasty in 2025.
Throughout those decades, Amott’s guitar work and songwriting have remained central to the band’s recognizable sound, even as successive vocalists brought different personalities and approaches to the music.
The Back to the Root of All Evil performance acknowledges that history without treating it as something confined to the past.

With a new frontwoman, a renewed commitment to their musical foundations, and a setlist promising songs rarely heard onstage, Arch Enemy are preparing to close their North American run with something different.
No elaborate reinvention is necessary when the archives contain nearly thirty years of devastating material waiting to be unleashed.
For one night in downtown Los Angeles, Arch Enemy intend to strip things back to what built their reputation in the first place.
Old songs. Forgotten gems. Pure fucking metal.
