Iron Maiden Announce Final 2027 North American Tour With Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age

October 20, 2026

Written By Caine Blackthorn

Iron Maiden apparently haven’t finished conquering North America.

After initially planning to step away from live performances in 2027, the British heavy metal legends have reversed course, announcing 16 additional dates for their monumental Run For Your Lives tour.

The newly confirmed April and May performances will mark the third and final North American leg of the band’s 50th-anniversary celebration, with Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age joining the legendary outfit for an all-British heavy metal lineup.

And this isn’t a scaled-down farewell to the anniversary festivities. Iron Maiden will bring the complete theatrical production to every performance, including the elaborate staging that has defined the tour.

For fans who missed the previous North American dates, Eddie is offering one last opportunity to join the celebration.

Iron Maiden Were Supposed to Take 2027 Off

The decision represents a significant change in the band’s touring plans.

Iron Maiden had previously indicated they would take a well-earned break from the road in 2027. However, the overwhelming response to their recent North American performances prompted a change of heart.

Founding bassist Steve Harris explained that the band wanted to reach cities and regions overlooked during the previous leg, particularly in the northwestern and southeastern United States.

The enthusiasm surrounding the anniversary tour had been too substantial to ignore.

For a band that has spent five decades building one of heavy metal’s most devoted international audiences, the decision reflects something increasingly rare in the music industry: a genuine connection between musicians and the people who have supported them.

It also means the anniversary celebration will stretch into a third year, finally concluding in May 2027.

Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age Join the Final Run

Iron Maiden won’t be traveling alone.

Welsh metal heavyweights Bullet for My Valentine will join the tour following the announcement of their upcoming album, Social Apocalypse, scheduled for release on March 19, 2027.

The performances will also mark the band’s return to North America following its co-headlining tour with Trivium in 2025.

Completing the lineup are London metallers The Raven Age, who have already accompanied Iron Maiden across portions of their Central and South American itinerary.

Together, the three acts form an entirely British touring bill, a combination Iron Maiden haven’t assembled in this format since 1983.

It’s a fitting nod to the band’s early years, when the New Wave of British Heavy Metal was establishing a movement that would influence generations of musicians.

And while each group represents a different chapter in British metal’s evolution, the lineup creates an interesting bridge between the genre’s origins and its contemporary sound.

Fifty Years of Iron Maiden, and One Final Anniversary Chapter

What began as a celebration of the band’s first five decades has become a massive international production.

The Run For Your Lives tour focuses on material from Iron Maiden’s formative years, revisiting the recordings that helped establish the band’s identity and reshape the heavy metal landscape.

Rather than assembling a conventional career-spanning greatest-hits production, Maiden have concentrated on the period that established their legacy, bringing early classics, elaborate visual storytelling, and the ever-evolving presence of Eddie back to the stage.

By the time the final performance concludes in May 2027, the tour is expected to have reached 107 shows across 36 countries, with attendance exceeding three million fans.

Those are remarkable numbers for any touring act, but particularly for a band whose success has rarely depended on conventional mainstream radio exposure.

Iron Maiden’s longevity is not simply a matter of nostalgia. Their concerts continue attracting listeners across multiple generations, from fans who discovered the band on vinyl in the early eighties to younger metalheads experiencing their theatrical productions for the first time.

And while these newly announced dates will definitively conclude the Run For Your Lives tour, the band has not announced that it is retiring from live performances.

That’s an important distinction.

After five decades, Iron Maiden have earned the right to decide when to leave the stage.

For now, they’ve decided there’s room for one more North American invasion.

Sixteen dates. Three British metal bands. One final chapter in the Run For Your Lives anniversary tour.

Up the Irons.
