Lita Ford Dracula: New Single Reveals a Dark Fairytale Album

October 31, 2026

Written By Caine Blackthorn

The Lita Ford Dracula single arrived October 27, 2026, with a new music video and a decidedly sinister Halloween atmosphere. But the bigger story is what lies behind the vampire imagery: Ford has a new record deal, an album title, and fresh material that stretches beyond one seasonal song.

Released through Frontiers Music Srl, “Dracula” was produced by guitarist Gary Hoey and mixed by Max Norman. The recording features Ford and Hoey, with Bobby Rock on drums. Hoey confirmed the lineup and production credits on his official website.

Lita Ford Dracula: Seduction, Danger and Slide Guitar

Ford has explained that “Dracula” is not simply a retelling of the famous vampire story. Its central figure represents a seductive, controlling force that slowly drains a person’s life. The attraction is part of the danger: the song plays with the temptation to flirt with something you know could destroy you. In her comments accompanying the release, Ford singled out the eerie slide-guitar sounds as a key part of its atmosphere, according to KNAC.

The arrangement brings that dark-fairytale theme into Ford’s guitar-driven hard rock. It is a Halloween release, certainly, but the lyrics are aimed at a more familiar human experience than a creature emerging from a coffin: the uneasy appeal of someone who has power over you.

The Bride Wore Black: What Lita Ford Has Revealed About Her Next Album

During an October 26 appearance on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, Ford revealed the title of her upcoming album: The Bride Wore Black. As reported by Blabbermouth, she described it as a dark-fairytale concept record, with different characters playing roles across the songs. That gives “Dracula” a broader context: its seductive villain is part of a larger fictional world.

Ford also discussed plans for further singles in November 2026 and January 2027, as well as a possible duet release with Doro Pesch, titled “The Queen of Pain.” She has recorded a duet with Jean Beauvoir too. Those are artist-discussed plans, not a final published track listing or confirmed release schedule. The album is expected in 2027, with Ford expressing hopes for a release before summer.

Hoey’s involvement connects this project to Ford’s 2012 studio album Living Like a Runaway. Although 2016’s Time Capsule brought previously unreleased archival recordings into circulation, The Bride Wore Black is being positioned as her next album of newly developed material. That is why the Lita Ford Dracula release matters beyond its perfectly timed Halloween arrival.

For now, fans can hear the Lita Ford Dracula single, watch the official video above and follow Ford’s updates for the next single and confirmed album details. The spooky packaging is fun, but the substantial news is the music itself: a new song, a fresh record-label partnership and a concept album taking shape.
