IN FLAMES and TRIVIUM are joining forces for a massive European run in spring 2027, bringing PALEFACE SWISS and VOLA along for the entire trek.
The tour kicks off March 29 at Dublin’s 3Arena and rolls through the U.K. and mainland Europe before closing May 7 at Spodek in Katowice, Poland. Rather than sticking with a single billing throughout the run, IN FLAMES and TRIVIUM will switch things up depending on where they are playing.
TRIVIUM will headline the U.K. and Ireland dates with IN FLAMES appearing as special guests. Once the tour reaches Scandinavia, IN FLAMES take the top spot with TRIVIUM as special guests. Across the remaining mainland European dates, the bands will operate as co-headliners.
PALEFACE SWISS and VOLA will open every show, making this a four-band package that reaches from the Gothenburg roots of melodic death metal through modern metal, deathcore and progressive territory.

TRIVIUM are equally fired up about reuniting with their longtime touring partners, while dropping a tantalizing hint about what is coming next for the band:
“A new era of Trivium is about to begin.”
The pairing has history behind it. IN FLAMES and TRIVIUM have crossed paths on the road for roughly two decades, and Matt Heafy recently joined IN FLAMES onstage at their Göteborg Brinner festival for a performance of “Artifacts Of The Black Rain.”

The tour arrives while both headliners are looking toward their next chapters.
The tour also arrives as IN FLAMES are deep into work on their 15th studio album, the follow-up to 2023’s Foregone. Recording sessions took place earlier this year, although the record has yet to be mixed and the band is keeping the rest under wraps for now. No title, artwork, tracklist or release date has been revealed, but with a new album taking shape and a massive European run locked in for spring 2027, the next chapter of IN FLAMES is already beginning to stir.
TRIVIUM have new music brewing as well. The band are currently putting the finishing touches on their 11th studio album, the follow-up to 2021’s In the Court of the Dragon and their first full-length with drummer Alex Rüdinger. Matt Heafy has already set expectations sky-high, describing the still-unreleased record as potentially the band’s “greatest album of all time,” while Corey Beaulieu has called it a whole new chapter for TRIVIUM. No firm release date has been announced, although the album is currently expected sometime in late 2026 or early 2027.
Their cryptic promise that “a new era of Trivium is about to begin” suggests the 2027 tour may be arriving alongside another significant chapter for the band, although they have not yet revealed exactly what that means.
The support slots make the package considerably more interesting than a nostalgia-heavy pairing of established names.
Zurich’s PALEFACE SWISS have been tearing upward through the extreme-metal ranks with their collision of deathcore, beatdown hardcore and nu-metal. Their 2025 album Cursed was followed by the 2026 EP The Wilted.
VOLA bring an entirely different texture to the bill. The Danish-Swedish progressive metal outfit mixes djent, tech-metal and electronics with a much more atmospheric approach. There is even an IN FLAMES connection: Anders Fridén appeared on VOLA’s 2024 album Friend Of A Phantom.
