Keanu Reeves’ alternative rock band DOGSTAR have announced an extensive 2026 North American tour in support of their new album, All In Now.
Released May 29, All In Now follows the band’s 2023 comeback album, Somewhere Between Power Lines and Palm Trees, and captures a group that has spent the past several years firmly back in motion.
DOGSTAR worked with producer Nick Launay on the new record, whose extensive credits include work with IDLES and Amyl and the Sniffers. The album builds on the chemistry developed during the band’s return to touring, with layered guitars and a heavier bass presence shaping the new material.
Dogstar Hit the Road Behind All In Now
DOGSTAR’s current lineup features guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose, drummer Robert Mailhouse and bassist Keanu Reeves.
The All In Now North American Tour launches August 12 at Union Transfer in Philadelphia before moving through the United States and Canada into the fall.
Stops include Boston, New York, Detroit, Denver, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles, with the currently announced itinerary concluding October 17 in Aurora, Illinois.
What All In Now Sounds Like
For anyone heading to the shows wondering what Dogstar’s newest material brings to the stage, All In Now doesn’t attempt to reinvent alternative rock. Instead, the band digs deeper into the sound that originally shaped them, with fuzzed-out guitars, a prominent low end and melodies steeped in the alternative and post-punk atmosphere of the 1990s.
“Math” makes that approach immediately apparent. Keanu Reeves’ bass has genuine weight in the mix, sitting beneath Bret Domrose’s guitar rather than disappearing behind it. The song unfolds patiently before the full trio settles into a thick, understated groove, giving the album an unusually confident opening.
The title track, “All In Now,” has considerably more urgency. Domrose pushes a buzzing guitar line through a compact arrangement while Reeves and drummer Robert Mailhouse keep everything moving underneath. It’s one of the record’s more immediate songs and feels particularly suited to the stage.
“The Whisper” reaches toward the more melodic side of ’90s alternative rock, while “Joy” slows things down and lets the atmosphere breathe. Across the album, Dogstar sound less interested in chasing modern rock trends than refining the music they clearly still enjoy playing together.
That consistency can occasionally work against the record. All In Now doesn’t contain dramatic stylistic left turns, and listeners looking for reinvention probably won’t find it here. But there’s also very little celebrity vanity surrounding the music. Reeves plays like a bassist in a three-piece rather than a movie star waiting for his close-up, leaving Domrose’s voice and guitar to occupy the foreground.
For a band whose bassist happens to be one of the most recognizable actors on Earth, that absence of spectacle might be one of Dogstar’s more appealing qualities.
