Carnifex The Process of Pain has a new video, and the band didn’t need a carefully staged studio set to capture its violence. Instead, the deathcore veterans used footage from their October 11 performance at Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama, where Entheos vocalist Chaney Crabb joined them for the song’s live debut.
The resulting clip arrived alongside Carnifex’s tenth studio album, More Than Misery, released November 6, 2026. The performance gives fans a rare view of a new song making its first appearance in front of an actual festival crowd.
Carnifex The Process of Pain brings Chaney Crabb onstage
Crabb’s guest appearance is the immediate draw. Known for her work with Entheos, she adds another commanding extreme-metal voice to the band’s performance. The footage documents a specific collaboration rather than implying she has joined Carnifex as a permanent member.
The Homie Criket Media directed the music video, drawing on the Furnace Fest performance rather than building a fictional narrative around the track. For music that thrives on physical intensity, an audience-facing approach makes sense.
More Than Misery marks another Carnifex chapter
More Than Misery is the band’s first album since signing with Sumerian Records, according to contemporary release coverage. Its arrival gives the new video additional significance: “The Process of Pain” isn’t an isolated single, but part of a larger body of new material.
Carnifex are also performing in Europe and the United Kingdom on a co-headlining run with Despised Icon and Suffocation, placing the release within an active touring period.
Fans following Carnifex The Process of Pain can now see the Furnace Fest collaboration on video and explore the record in full. The pairing with Crabb is the story’s hook; the wider album is what gives it staying power.
