September 6, 2026

Metal Lair is saddened to learn of the passing of former Every Time I Die guitarist and professional wrestler Andy Williams at just 48 years of age.

Williams, who is best known to wrestling fans for his time as an active part of the All Elite Wrestling roster from 2019 to June of this year, was performing as part of the tag team The Butcher and The Blade at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening when he collapsed during a match.

He was attended to by medics at the event, which was immediately called off, and taken to hospital, but sadly it was not enough to save him.

Williams was a member of the Buffalo NY metalcore outfit from 1998 to 2022. He performed on all nine of their studio albums. Tributes have been paid to him by such notable names in wrestling as Malachai Black, Josh Alexander, RJ City, Paige and Matt Hardy.

We offer our sincerest condolences to his loved ones and many fans, both of his music and his wrestling career. Rest in power, Andy.
