Void Sector Zero band featuring Christian Muenzner, Alex Weber and Gabe Seeber promoting Extraterrestrial Disassembly

Void Sector Zero Unleash Extraterrestrial Disassembly Ahead of Debut Album

October 27, 2026

Written By Kevin McSweeney

Void Sector Zero have released “Extraterrestrial Disassembly” via Season of Mist as the second single off their debut album, Dead Space Enigma. The progressive thrash lineup features guitarist Christian Muenzner (Necrophagist, ex-Obscura, ex-Alkaloid), vocalist and bassist Alex Weber (Revocation, Malignancy, Exist), and Gabe Seeber (Decrepit Birth, Abigail Williams, Carach Angren).

Void Sector Zero Extraterrestrial Disassembly Explores Technical Thrash

Void Sector Zero Extraterrestrial Disassembly combines the precision of technical thrash with cosmic horror, odd-meter riffs and guest vocals from Morean (Alkaloid, ex-Dark Fortress).

“‘Extraterrestrial Disassembly’ is about a DMT trip gone horribly wrong” Muenzner says. “Even though it’s the shortest song on Dead Space Enigma, it has lots of odd metric riffs, proggy riffs, a clean chorus and nods to hard rock and classic metal bands, specifically Coroner, Mercyful Fate, Annihilator, Helstar and Holy Moses”.

Void Sector Zero Members Reunite After Obscura

The musicians behind Void Sector Zero already knew one another before forming the project. They built their chemistry in 2022 while performing together in Obscura during the world tour supporting A Valediction.

Muenzner’s ambition to play technical thrash helped bring the musicians back together. Their shared history made Weber and Seeber obvious collaborators for a project that combines classic influences with modern extreme-metal precision.

Rather than relying solely on extreme speed, “Extraterrestrial Disassembly” makes room for contrasting textures and demanding rhythmic ideas. Its unsettling science-fiction premise imagines an altered state of consciousness turning into a nightmare. The result is a compact introduction to the band’s wider ambitions on Dead Space Enigma.

The song swings between restless technical passages and an unexpectedly melodic refrain. Weber’s agile bass lines counter Muenzner’s intricate guitars, while Morean’s guest vocals broaden the track’s palette.

The trio’s ambitions extend beyond impressive résumés. Their sound joins late-eighties technical thrash and early-nineties technical death metal with neoclassical influences and jazz fusion, leaving room for melody and dynamic contrast.

The eight-track Dead Space Enigma arrives December 11, 2026 via Season of Mist. Its individual songs explore science fiction and cosmic horror. First single “Vortex Divinium” drew on Bob Lazar’s claims about alien technology, while “Extraterrestrial Disassembly” explores a more psychological nightmare. Pre-order or pre-save the record here.
