DIEYOUNG Releases Sweet, Blending Pop and Industrial Rock

October 27, 2026

Written By Kevin McSweeney

DIEYOUNG’s new single ‘Sweet’ arrived on October 23, 2026, via Adventure Cat Records.

DIEYOUNG is the project of Louisiana-based singer and songwriter Cody Mackenzie, combining pop-forward melodies with heavier alternative influences. On “Sweet,” the melodic industrial-rock comparisons to Filter and Stabbing Westward offer a useful point of reference, though the project is not easily confined to one genre. Earlier 2026 releases include “Crave,” featuring Tom Barber, and “Kerosene,” giving listeners more of DIEYOUNG’s recent music to explore.

Earlier Single “Kerosene” Explores Ambition and Sacrifice

Released July 10, 2026, through Adventure Cat Records, “Kerosene” offers another introduction to Mackenzie’s songwriting. In the announcement accompanying that track, Mackenzie explained that it deals with the willingness to endure suffering for a larger purpose, while acknowledging how ambition and obsession can become self-destructive. He described the tension between pursuing something meaningful and risking burnout along the way.

Listeners can watch the official “Kerosene” music video before exploring the newer single “Sweet” below.
