“This one’s for the headbangers,” says founding guitarist/vocalist Dave Davidson. “It’s got a lot of driving momentum that morphs into some of the heaviest parts on the whole album. The video was once again filmed by the MyGoodEye team, who always do an excellent job. They nailed the atmosphere, the set and the mood lock perfectly with the track. I can’t wait to play this one live, it’s going to get the circle pit churning.”

Album Premiere
REVOCATION premiers New Gods, New Masters full album on the Metal Blade YouTube channel.
Inside New Gods, New Masters
Produced by Davidson and mixed/mastered by Jens Bogren (The Haunted, Spiritbox), the nine-track album pairs surgical precision with lyrical weight. The artwork comes courtesy of Paolo Girardi (Bell Witch, Mother Of Graves, Black Breath, Cryptopsy), who rendered a techno-nightmare of “new gods” born from abyssal teeth and wires.
The record features high-profile guest spots from:
Jonny Davy (Job For A Cowboy) Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation) Luc Lemay (Gorguts) Jazz guitarist Gilad Hekselman
Available formats include CD, digital, and vinyl in multiple color variants.
Davidson explains the concept:
“It seems encoded in our DNA to worship gods. As science evolves, the old gods fall into obsolescence but we’ve created new ones. Technology has become our idol, and I’m both fascinated and deeply concerned about where this worship leads. Whether it’s a slow march toward a dystopia or outright annihilation, AI feels like the next ‘new master.’”
Girardi’s artwork even hides easter eggs referencing REVOCATION’s earliest demo and debut full-length, tying past and future into one apocalyptic vision.
The Road Ahead
REVOCATION launch a North American headlining tour on October 16th in Leesburg, VA, running through November 15th in Raleigh, NC. Support comes from Judiciary, Inferi, and Vomit Forth (on select dates).

About The Author
Caine Blackthorn writes music news, trending topics, commentary, and feature pieces for Metal Lair with a focus on the shifting culture surrounding rock and heavy metal. From rising ticket prices and touring collapse to legacy artists, industry absurdity, and the changing soul of live music, his work blends sharp observation with the grit, humor, and frustration of the scene itself. Whether covering modern chaos or metal history, Caine approaches heavy music as something lived through, not simply reported on.
