If your preferred November forecast involves enormous riffs, Southern sludge and a suspicious amount of amplifier worship, Corrosion of Conformity and The Sword have just made plans for you.
Corrosion of Conformity and The Sword will join forces this November for a U.S. co-headlining tour, with Portland heavy psych outfit Hippie Death Cult providing support throughout the run.
The two-week trek kicks off November 2 at Town Ballroom in Buffalo, New York, before cutting through the Northeast, Midwest and South and eventually grinding to a halt November 19 at Vinyl Music Hall in Pensacola, Florida.
Tickets for the newly announced dates go on general sale today, Friday, August 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Corrosion of Conformity and The Sword Hit the Road Together
There are tour packages that require careful consideration, and then there are tour packages where the band names basically tell you everything you need to know.
Putting Corrosion of Conformity and The Sword on the same stage means bringing together two bands that have spent decades demonstrating just how much mileage can be extracted from a properly weaponized guitar riff.
For Corrosion of Conformity, the dates continue an exceptionally busy 2026 built around the band’s latest record, Good God / Baad Man.
Released April 3 through Nuclear Blast Records, the sprawling double album arrived eight years after 2018’s No Cross No Crown. Produced by Grammy-winning producer Warren Riker, the record was captured across several studios, including Pepper Keenan’s Blak Shak Studios, Dockside Studios in Louisiana and Barry Gibb’s private studio in Miami.
Because apparently even a Bee Gee’s house isn’t safe once Corrosion of Conformity discovers there is recording equipment inside.
The current COC lineup features Pepper Keenan, Woody Weatherman, Bobby Landgraf and Stanton Moore, with the band spending much of 2026 doing what Corrosion of Conformity has always done best: taking those enormous, smoke-stained riffs directly to the people.
And Keenan sounds more than ready for another round.
Announcing the tour, the vocalist and guitarist declared that the “CORROSION train won’t stop” before promising the band would be ripping alongside The Sword and Hippie Death Cult.
That seems less like promotional copy and more like a fairly accurate weather warning.
The Sword Bring Texas Riff Power to the Package
The addition of The Sword makes this pairing particularly nasty.
Formed in Austin, Texas, The Sword emerged during the 2000s with a sound built from doom, stoner metal, hard rock and the sort of riffs capable of making perfectly reasonable adults begin involuntarily nodding their heads.
Their 2006 debut Age of Winters became a modern heavy-metal favorite, while subsequent records including Gods of the Earth, Warp Riders and Apocryphon expanded the band’s sound far beyond its earliest doom-heavy foundations.
Following their 2022 breakup, The Sword returned to activity in 2024, making the opportunity to see them sharing a bill with Corrosion of Conformity considerably more interesting than your average fall tour announcement.
Then there’s Hippie Death Cult, who complete the package with their own mixture of psychedelic rock, doom and fuzz-heavy grooves.
In other words, subtlety will not be joining this tour.

The November run includes 14 announced dates, although the November 7 appearance at Port City Blitz Festival in Wilmington features Corrosion of Conformity only.

The routing gives Florida the final blow, with Corrosion of Conformity, The Sword and Hippie Death Cult wrapping the tour November 19 at Vinyl Music Hall in Pensacola.
With COC supporting one of the biggest releases of their career, The Sword back in action and Hippie Death Cult supplying another layer of psychedelic heaviness, this is one of those wonderfully uncomplicated bills.
Three bands. A lot of riffs. Very little chance anybody leaves wondering why their ears are ringing.
