CATTLE DECAPITATION Unveil Dead End Residents Video As 2027 Album Takes Shape

San Diego deathgrind innovators Cattle Decapitation have unveiled a new video for “Dead End Residents,” taken from their acclaimed 2023 album Terrasite.

The clip arrives following the band’s recent 30 Years Of Inhumanity headlining tour and serves as the final visual chapter of the Terrasite cycle before the group shifts its full attention toward writing and recording its next studio album, currently targeted for release in 2027.

“We’re now sending Terrasite off to go live with the rest of our discography,” says vocalist Travis Ryan.

While “Dead End Residents” closes the book on the Terrasite era, Ryan confirmed the band is already deep into the writing process for its next album. Cattle Decapitation will enter the studio in January with a new full-length expected in 2027.

“As a going away present for our fans we present the ‘Dead End Residents’ official music video.

After Flatline Fest later this month, we’ll be going into a short hibernation mode to finish writing our next album which we’re already many songs deep into.”

The video, directed by Nox Nohi, combines live footage captured during the band’s European tour alongside material from the No Fear For Tomorrow tour.

Released in 2023, Terrasite marked another creative evolution for Cattle Decapitation, expanding upon the apocalyptic themes explored on 2019’s Death Atlas.

The album pushed the band’s signature blend of death metal, grindcore, and atmospheric textures into increasingly ambitious territory while continuing its scathing examination of humanity’s destructive relationship with the planet.

The record earned strong chart placements upon release, including a No. 2 debut on Billboard’s Current Hard Music Albums chart, while drawing widespread praise from critics for its combination of extreme aggression, emotional weight, and environmental themes.

Following their appearance at Flatline Fest in Denver on June 15, Cattle Decapitation will step away from the road to complete work on their next record before entering the studio in January 2027.
