Cape Town, South Africa’s experimental metal trio P+A+G+E+S are bringing their debut album NO MORE CAN BE DONE to CD for the first time through AFRICA.ROCKS S25, a new initiative dedicated to introducing African rock and metal releases to European collectors.
The P+A+G+E+S NO MORE CAN BE DONE CD edition is strictly limited to 25 copies, making the physical release an unusually small offering from South Africa’s independent heavy music scene.
Originally released digitally and on vinyl on October 25, 2025, the album combines atmospheric doom, sludge, industrial textures, and experimental noise with themes of environmental collapse, political despair, oppression, and perseverance.
AFRICA.ROCKS S25 Brings African Metal to European Collectors
AFRICA.ROCKS, a media platform and digital magazine covering rock, metal, and alternative music across the African continent, has launched its S25 series to explore small-scale production and European distribution for independent African artists.
Each release in the series is limited to just 25 copies.
The CD edition of NO MORE CAN BE DONE is available exclusively in Europe through Vinted for €8, excluding shipping.
According to the announcement, proceeds from the series will be reinvested into producing and distributing additional releases by African bands.
Selected S25 editions are distributed by Hyena Rocks.

P+A+G+E+S Explore Despair, Resistance and Survival
Recorded between February 3 and 7, 2025, at Sound and Motion Studios in Cape Town, NO MORE CAN BE DONE moves between abrasive noise, dissonant guitar passages, industrial rhythms, dense percussion, and more restrained atmospheric arrangements.
The band’s stripped-down lyrical approach uses repetition and minimalist phrases to confront existential anxiety, environmental degradation, and social injustice.
Rather than relying on conventional song structures, P+A+G+E+S build their music around contrasting textures, oppressive intensity, and moments of fragile calm.
The album artwork, designed by guitarist and vocalist helo samo, depicts the life cycle of a dandelion. Its symbolism of resilience and regeneration provides a striking visual contrast to the record’s darker themes.

The Cape Town trio consists of:
Caitlin Mkhasibe: Drums
Frank Lunar: Bass
helo samo: Guitar, vocals, sampling, and textural noise
NO MORE CAN BE DONE was written, produced, and performed by the band.
The album was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Simon Ratcliffe, with Carl Roberts serving as assistant engineer. Photography and design were handled by helo samo.
The original album remains available digitally and on vinyl, while the AFRICA.ROCKS S25 CD edition introduces the record to a new physical format.
With only 25 copies being manufactured, the project represents a deliberately small-scale approach to bringing independent African heavy music to listeners beyond its home continent.
