THUNDERMOTHER Announces New Album Dirty & Divine

Two years after Black & Gold, THUNDERMOTHER is back with Dirty & Divine, their most electrifying album yet, dropping February 7, 2025, via AFM Records. This record marks a fresh chapter for the band, featuring the studio debut of powerhouse vocalist Linnea Vikström Egg and drummer Joan Massing, alongside the return of bassist Majsan Lindberg. Recorded live in the studio with producer Søren Andersen, Dirty & Divine captures the raw, unfiltered energy of a band at its peak. With anthems like So Close, Speaking of the Devil, and I Left My License in the Future, the album blends ‘70s inspired grit with modern intensity, proving THUNDERMOTHER’s commitment to keeping rock ‘n’ roll alive. Their high-voltage European tour kicks off in early 2025, bringing their no-holds barred sound to the masses once again.

Despite major lineup changes in early 2023, THUNDERMOTHER has come out stronger, with founding guitarist Filippa Nässil and Vikström Egg forging a dynamic new creative partnership. Nässil, who was pregnant during the recording, describes this album as their best yet, crediting their seamless songwriting chemistry. Since their first official show together in April 2023, the revamped lineup has been unstoppable, hitting the road with SCORPIONS and proving they’re a force to be reckoned with. Meanwhile, former members Guernica Mancini, Emlee Johansson, and Mona Lindgren have launched their own band, THE GEMS, under Napalm Records. But THUNDERMOTHER isn’t looking back. Dirty & Divine is their boldest statement yet, a full-throttle rock revival that cements their place among the genre’s most electrifying acts.

What started as a vision in 2009 by guitarist Filippa Nässil has evolved into a powerhouse of pure, unfiltered rock energy. Originally hailing from Skåne, Nässil first laid the groundwork for the band while studying in Växjö, later making the move to Stockholm to assemble a lineup that could match her passion and drive. Their meteoric rise didn’t go unnoticed; legendary rock icons SCORPIONS personally invited THUNDERMOTHER to join their massive North American stadium tour. That unforgettable run led to an encore, an extended European trek with SCORPIONS, playing 39 shows to over 600,000 fans. But that was just one highlight in a string of high-profile appearances, including a coveted spot on KISS’s official KISS Cruise, three explosive performances at Wacken Open Air, and numerous major festival slots. With over 2,000 live shows to their name, a Gaffa Award for Best Swedish Hard Rock Act (2020), and the prestigious European Double Silver Impala Award, THUNDERMOTHER is on a mission to become the next generation of festival headliners. The 2023 lineup, Linnea Vikström Egg, Majsan Lindberg, Joan Massing, and Filippa Nässil operates with a singular mindset: total rock domination. Their battle cry, We Fight for Rock ‘n’ Roll, isn’t just a slogan, it’s a way of life. This relentless drive fuels their latest single, I Left My License in the Future, released on November 3, 2023. Produced by Danish rock mastermind Soren Andersen (Pretty Maids, D-A-D, Glenn Hughes, Mike Tramp), the track delivers everything fans crave, raw energy, soaring vocals, and an infectious, hard-hitting groove. To support the release, THUNDERMOTHER hit the road on a Central European tour with Lansdowne, kicking off in Munich on November 24, followed by an extensive Swedish tour in early 2024, their first-ever full-scale run across their homeland, reaching from the south to the Far North.
