Brighton emotional-hardcore trio prom have released their new single and music video, “Borderline,” alongside news of their signing to Church Road Records.
The track pushes further into the band’s heavier side, drawing on Brighton’s hardcore and emo scenes. Its accompanying video was directed by TABBYCAT.
Discussing the song and its video, the band explain:
“Borderline” was one of the earlier songs that was brought to the table after finishing recording the first LP. From the get go we knew we wanted to dive deeper into the heavier elements of what makes “prom” the emotional-hardcore band that we are, paying homage to the Brighton hardcore and emo scenes respectively. The idea of aggression can be deeper understood by watching the music video, directed by TABBYCAT, who brought all of our wishes of feeling weary and unsettled to life. An emotional band for those who express their feelings physically.
