UK symphonic black metal veterans Hecate Enthroned have released a new single and music video, “Deathless in the Dryad Glade,” offering another look at their upcoming album The Corpse of a Titan, A Lament Long Buried, due out May 29 via M-Theory Audio.

The track leans into the band’s signature mix of orchestral weight and blackened aggression, but there’s something colder running underneath it, less theatrical, more unsettling.

According to vocalist Joe Stamps, the song centers on being pulled off course by something ancient and hostile:

Deathless in the Dryad Glade is a chronicle of being led astray by malevolent woodland entities… a transformation where one becomes ‘one with nature’ in the most unsettling and permanent of ways.”

So not the romantic version of nature. Something darker. Something that doesn’t let you leave.

The video, shot by Jack Maguire, follows that same direction, less spectacle, more atmosphere. It keeps things restrained and lets the tone carry it, rather than drowning it in effects.

This marks the second preview from the upcoming record, which is shaping up to stay rooted in what Hecate Enthroned have always done well: symphonic black metal that doesn’t feel polished for comfort. Just another step deeper into their own lane.

The visual identity of the record was forged by Erskine Designs (Inanimate Existence, Bleed The Sky), capturing the ancient myths and legends that fuel the lyrics.

These are huge, epic, hard-hitting songs carved in the traditional Hecate way,” says bassist Dylan Hughes. “It is a menacing veil delivered with a crisp, modern punch.
