Speaking recently with Chile’s Futuro radio, Stanne explained that touring plans, particularly a long hoped for run through South America will likely fall into place once the new record is finished. While nothing is locked in yet, the goal is clear, album first, road next.

“We’re fully focused on the third album right now,” he shared. “Once that’s out hopefully later this year it’ll be time to tour properly again. And yeah, I really hope that includes Chile.”

For Stanne, The Halo Effect isn’t just another band cycle, it’s a reunion rooted in decades of friendship. The project brings together five former members of In Flames: guitarist Jesper Stromblad, drummer Daniel Svensson, bassist Peter Iwers, guitarist Niclas Engelin, and Stanne himself on vocals.

“It honestly feels like a passion project between old friends,” Stanne said. “We’ve known each other since we were teenagers, so getting to create and travel together again is pretty special. I actually just heard a new track today and yeah, it’s sounding incredible.”

The band last released the EP March Of The Unheard in January 2025 and was quickly supported by the band’s first ever European headline tour.

The Halo Effect’s debut album, Days Of The Lost, made history upon release by debuting at No. 1 on Sweden’s official album chart, a rare first for a metal band and also landed at No. 6 in Germany.

With a third album now taking shape and tour plans looming on the horizon, the band’s next chapter looks set to build even further on the momentum they’ve already carved out, loud, melodic, and rooted in history rather than nostalgia.
