PANTERA Unearths Long Lost Tracks as “The Heaviest Tour of the Summer” Erupts in Pennsylvania

Heavy metal legends PANTERA came out swinging on July 15th as they launched The Heaviest Tour of the Summer at The Pavilion At Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. The night wasn’t just loud—it was historic. The band tore through a 15-song set packed with fan favorites, rarities not played in nearly a quarter-century, and even a track that had never seen the stage until now.

Kicking things off with the thunderous “Hellbound,” the opener from 2000’s Reinventing the Steel, PANTERA signaled early that this wasn’t just another greatest hits run. They dusted off “Goddamn Electric” and “I’ll Cast A Shadow” for the first time since 2001, and pulled a wild card with the live debut of “10s” from The Great Southern Trendkill (1996)—a deep cut that’s long been a cult favorite.

Backed by AMON AMARTH, this Live Nation-produced tour is blazing across more than 20 cities before wrapping September 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The current lineup features longtime warriors Philip H. Anselmo and Rex Brown, joined by guitar shredlord Zakk Wylde and drum titan Charlie Benante. Together, they’re honoring the memory and music of founding brothers “Dimebag” Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott.

This leg of the tour follows a stacked spring run with METALLICA and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES and a monumental U.K. appearance during BLACK SABBATH and Ozzy Osbourne’s final curtain call—alongside metal royalty like SLAYER, GOJIRA, and LAMB OF GOD.

Back in January, the band kicked off their 2025 European tour in Helsinki. And the energy? It hasn’t dropped a decibel.
