Metalhead Horoscope By Metal Lair – The Weekly Forecast

Cosmic Chaos: Mercury’s Backward, Everyone’s Fucked, and Nobody Read the Instructions

Well, well, well. Look who’s back to fuck up everybody’s carefully constructed illusion of having their shit together.

MERCURY RETROGRADE.

That’s right, you beautiful collection of emotionally unstable headbangers. From October 24 through November 13, Mercury is moonwalking backward through Scorpio, and the universe has apparently decided that our lives could use another round of spectacularly unnecessary complications.

Wonderful. Just fucking wonderful. But here’s the beauty of Mercury retrograde. It’s the greatest excuse ever invented for human stupidity.

Forgot to answer an important email? Mercury retrograde. Sent an embarrassing text to the wrong person? Mercury retrograde. Ignored the instructions, assembled something completely backward, broke three pieces, and then blamed the manufacturer? Obviously Mercury retrograde.

Never mind that you approached the task with the intellectual precision of a drunken drummer trying to assemble an IKEA bookshelf using a drumstick and blind confidence. The planets did it.

And frankly, that’s a relief, because personal accountability is exhausting. But before you start blaming Mercury for every terrible decision you’ve made since 1997, here’s something worth considering.

The older we get, the less these cosmic shitstorms should knock us sideways. At least in theory. You’d think after decades of bad relationships, spectacular miscalculations, questionable financial decisions, and enough life lessons to fill a Black Sabbath box set, we’d eventually recognize the warning signs.

Some of us have. Others are still touching the electric fence to see whether it’s working. Spoiler alert, sweetheart. It’s working.

Now, here’s where this particular cosmic disaster gets interesting. Five planets are currently retrograde. FIVE.

Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are all apparently conducting their own private reunion tours through unresolved business, questionable relationships, and the psychological basement where we’ve been storing shit we don’t want to deal with.

Meanwhile, Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto are moving forward, probably looking at the rest of the planetary lineup and wondering who the hell booked this festival.

And just to make sure nobody gets too comfortable, the Full Moon in Taurus arrives on October 26, shining a gigantic celestial spotlight on everything you’ve been desperately pretending isn’t happening.

Welcome to the cosmic interrogation room. Please leave your dignity at the door.

But here’s where I want you to understand beneath all this astronomical fuckery. Not everything that goes wrong is a disaster. And not everything that looks too good to be true is necessarily bullshit.

Sometimes the opportunities of a lifetime arrive during the most inconvenient moments imaginable.

A phone call you weren’t expecting. A conversation that changes everything. A door opening when you’ve already convinced yourself the entire building is condemned.

And what do we do? We immediately start inventing seventeen reasons why it won’t work. We haven’t even plugged in the amplifier, and we’re already announcing that the entire fucking concert is canceled.

Congratulations. You’ve successfully sabotaged an opportunity that hasn’t even had the chance to disappoint you yet. That’s almost impressive.

This week, the message is simple: Stay in the moment. Stop predicting disasters before anything actually happens.

Stop writing the obituary for opportunities that are still breathing. And for the love of Lemmy, stop confusing your worst-case scenarios with psychic abilities.

You’re not Nostradamus because you’ve imagined forty-seven different ways something could go wrong. You’re just an overthinking bastard with a very active imagination.

There’s a hell of a lot happening beneath the surface right now, and not all of it is immediately obvious. Secrets may emerge, perspectives may shift, and circumstances that looked hopeless might reveal possibilities you hadn’t considered.

That’s why you need to pay attention. Listen before reacting. Read the fine print. Question your assumptions. And perhaps most importantly, don’t make permanent decisions based on temporary emotional turbulence.

The universe may be running a particularly deranged festival this week, but that doesn’t mean you have to jump into every circle pit wearing a blindfold.

Keep your eyes open. Keep your mind sharper than a Kerry King guitar solo. And remember that sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen when everything around you sounds like a band tuning twelve different instruments simultaneously.

Those who pay attention may discover opportunities hiding beneath the distortion. Those who don’t?

Well, they’ll still be standing in the parking lot arguing about whose fault it was that they missed the fucking show. And Mercury will undoubtedly get blamed for that, too.

Now, let’s see which of you twelve zodiac disasters deserves a backstage pass and which ones should have their instruments confiscated.

SIGN ROAST OF THE WEEK: SCORPIO THE LYRICIST

The tortured lyricist who thinks every breakup deserves a concept album.

Scorpio, you emotionally constipated little poet of darkness. You’ve somehow convinced yourself that every betrayal, unanswered text, and mildly disappointing sexual encounter deserves a twelve-minute progressive metal epic about suffering.

Your ex didn’t destroy your soul, sweetheart. They just stopped answering your fucking messages. But here you are, six notebooks deep, writing lyrics about eternal damnation, bleeding moons, and the ashes of a love that died in 2019. We get it, you have feelings.

And let’s discuss your lyrics. Every other sentence contains the words shadows, darkness, blood, betrayal, or eternity. At this point, even Dani Filth is telling you to lighten the fuck up.

You call it emotional vulnerability. Everyone else calls it a restraining order set to music. And God forbid somebody asks who the song is about.

“Nobody. It’s metaphorical.” Bullshit, Scorpio. Her name is Jessica, she works at Starbucks, and you’ve rhymed her name with necromantica seventeen fucking times.

Sabbatha’s Final Verdict: You’re not a misunderstood lyrical genius trapped in an ocean of eternal torment. You’re a horny Edgar Allan Poe with abandonment issues and a distortion pedal. Now finish the damn album and go to therapy.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 19)

Metalhead Horoscope For Aries

ALL THRASH, NO FUCKING STRATEGY

Aries, Mercury’s retrograde in your eighth house, and your impulse control is currently about as reliable as a drunken drummer counting off a Slayer song. You’re ready to charge into battle before anyone’s explained what the fuck you’re fighting for.

Here’s a radical concept: THINK BEFORE YOU ACT. People are looking to you for leadership, which is terrifying considering your usual strategy involves screaming “FOLLOW ME!” and hoping there’s no cliff ahead.

When someone speaks, shut your beautiful, argumentative mouth and LISTEN. If you’re busy, say so. Giving someone the wrong information because you couldn’t spare thirty seconds is how bands end up playing the wrong festival in the wrong fucking country.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Get The Shot – Prying Eyes

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 20)

Metalhead Horoscope For Taurus

Taurus, your legendary stubbornness is about to meet its natural enemy: somebody who has absolutely no idea what the fuck they’re talking about but sounds suspiciously confident.

This week, LISTEN carefully. Don’t assume you understand what someone means just because they’ve managed to string together a sentence. Half these idiots are improvising harder than a guitarist who forgot the entire setlist.

Here’s the good news: Money and opportunities could be heading your way. But before you start spending imaginary royalties on a new Marshall stack, get every agreement in writing. Handshakes and promises are wonderful until somebody suddenly develops selective amnesia.

You’ve got a winning hand, Taurus. Don’t blow it gambling on some bullshit because you were too lazy to read the fine print.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Tony Iommi – Over The Violent Sun

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 20)

Metalhead Horoscope For Gemini

Gemini, congratulations! You’ve somehow convinced everyone you’re the responsible adult in the room. Apparently, your ability to juggle seventeen personalities and still form coherent sentences has earned you a leadership position. God help us all.

This week, people are watching your every move, expecting you to have all the answers while simultaneously demanding everything be done yesterday. It’s like being the only sober sound engineer at a festival organized by drunken Mötley Crüe roadies.

Here’s a revolutionary idea, slow your roll. When some impatient asshole starts breathing down your neck, flash that charming Gemini smile and ask, “Do you want it done fast, or do you want it done right?”

You’re conducting the orchestra this week, Gemini. Don’t let a bunch of tone-deaf idiots dictate the tempo. Even Dave Lombardo can’t play faster than the speed of light.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Polyphia – Let There Be Light

Cancer (Jun 21 – Jul 22)

Metalhead Horoscope For Cancer

Cancer, congratulations! Everyone’s suddenly holding you to impossibly high standards while conveniently ignoring every brilliant piece of advice you give them. Apparently, they’re too proud to ask for help but perfectly happy to copy your homework.

This week, double-check everything before making a move. Business, friendships, relationships, the whole circus. People expect perfection from you while operating with the organizational skills of a wasted glam metal band backstage in 1987.

And speaking of backstage, ROMANCE IS IN THE AIR! Unfortunately, so are five planetary retrogrades, meaning today’s passionate declaration of eternal devotion could become next Tuesday’s awkward restraining-order-free breakup.

Don’t mistake a temporary backstage pass for a lifetime record contract. Enjoy the romance, Cancer. Just don’t tattoo anybody’s name on your body before the encore.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Beast in Black – Lost Children

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 22)

Metalhead Horoscope For Leo

Leo, congratulations! The cosmic spotlight is shining directly on you which is exactly where you believe it belongs. Unfortunately, everyone’s now expecting you to perform like Metallica at performing their concert residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas while juggling flaming guitars and curing world hunger between encores.

Here’s the problem, you can’t do everything. Shocking, I know. Your royal highness occasionally needs to say NO instead of accepting every ridiculous request just to hear the crowd applaud.

Your reputation is climbing, Leo, and bigger opportunities are coming. But humility will get you further than strutting around like God’s personal gift to heavy metal. Remember, even the biggest rock stars need a road crew. Get over yourself.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Carnivore A.D. – I Stand Alone

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

Metalhead Horoscope For Virgo

Virgo, whatever shady little bullshit you’re doing behind closed doors this week, assume it’s eventually going public. Mercury retrograde has apparently hired the entire fucking internet as your personal surveillance team.

Say what you mean and mean what you say. No cryptic messages, passive-aggressive bullshit, or expecting people to decipher your emotional riddles like they’re analyzing hidden Satanic messages on a Judas Priest record.

And then there’s temptation. Someone or something is dangling forbidden fruit in front of your perfectionist little nose, testing whether your integrity survives when nobody’s watching.

Bigger opportunities, money, and recognition could be coming, but first the universe wants to know whether you’ll handle success gracefully or turn into Axl Rose demanding twelve dressing rooms and a personal helicopter. Take your time, Virgo. The devils in the details.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Lamentari – Oculi Lapidis

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 23)

Metalhead Horoscope For Libra

Libra, the universe is dangling financial opportunities in front of you, but apparently everyone around you has developed selective hearing.

You could explain your intentions with a PowerPoint presentation, interpretive dance, and a fucking Rammstein stage production, and everyone would STILL hear whatever suits their personal narrative.

Stop explaining yourself. Let your actions do the talking. Success makes a spectacular comeback album, and time has a wonderful way of making your critics look like clueless record executives who rejected Metallica.

But keep your ears open, because somewhere between the financial bullshit and unsolicited opinions, a genuinely lucrative opportunity could be hiding.

Listen carefully, Libra. You don’t want to miss a million-dollar riff because someone won’t shut up about your guitar tone.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Theosophy – Birds Under The Sky

Scorpio (Oct 24 – Nov 22)

Metalhead Horoscope For Scorpio

Scorpio, congratulations! You’ve become the main attraction in a cosmic freak show, and apparently everyone thinks they’re qualified to interpret your every word, expression, and suspiciously raised eyebrow.

You could say, “Nice weather,” and some paranoid person would interpret it as a declaration of psychological warfare. Mercury retrograde has turned your social circle into a bunch of conspiracy theorists analyzing backward messages on a Black Sabbath record.

Be crystal clear. Especially with money, promises, and agreements. Leave absolutely nothing open to interpretation unless you enjoy explaining yourself to idiots who hear whatever the hell they want.

Meanwhile, Jupiter and Mars are cranking up your potential for some serious opportunities. Don’t miss your big break because somebody mistook your silence for a satanic ritual.

Stay sharp, Scorpio. You’re holding a backstage pass to success, but half these jackasses think you’re plotting a murder mystery.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Demonpussy – Angel of Death

Sagittarius (Nov 23 – Dec 21)

Metalhead Horoscope For Sagittarius

Sagittarius, your brain is currently producing ideas faster than Herman Lee on six cans of Red Bull. Unfortunately, your attention span has the staying power of Spinal Tap’s drummer.

Write those brilliant ideas down before they disappear into the same mysterious black hole where you’ve misplaced your keys, your wallet, and approximately seventeen unfinished projects.

Communication is another shitshow this week. You could deliver instructions with the clarity of a professionally mastered album, and some idiot will still hear the equivalent of a Norwegian black metal demo recorded inside a washing machine.

But here’s the good news: powerful alliances are possible, especially with people whose talents complement your own. You don’t need twelve guitarists fighting over the same solo. You need a band.

Choose your collaborators wisely, Sagittarius. Even the greatest frontman sounds like shit without a decent rhythm section.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Castle – Evil Nun

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Metalhead Horoscope For Capricorn

Capricorn, you’ve got enough ambition to organize a five-day Wacken festival, but there’s one tiny problem. Half your brilliant ideas look considerably better on paper than they do in the real world.

Keep it simple, not every project requires seventeen spreadsheets, a corporate board meeting, and a production budget bigger than Metallica’s world tour.

Make sure your grand schemes are actually achievable before promising everyone a sold-out stadium and delivering a karaoke machine in a parking lot.

And expect the unexpected. Plans may go sideways, opportunities may appear out of nowhere, and something that initially looks like a spectacular disaster could turn out to be your biggest breakthrough.

Relax, Capricorn. Sometimes the universe cancels your carefully planned gig because it’s booking you a better venue.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: The Konsent – K04A

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

Metalhead Horoscope For Aquarius

Aquarius, your brilliant alien brain is operating on frequencies the rest of humanity hasn’t discovered yet. Unfortunately, nobody understands what the fuck you’re saying, and Mercury retrograde isn’t helping.

Be clear you cosmic weirdo. Stop communicating like you’re transmitting encrypted messages from a malfunctioning Blood Incantation synthesizer. Ask questions, verify answers, and don’t assume everyone shares your particular brand of extraterrestrial intelligence.

This week brings fresh starts, practical ideas, and opportunities for genuine success. Better yet, people are finally beginning to see the real you. Try not to terrify them.

But don’t rush into decisions just because somebody finally appreciates your beautifully deranged genius. Time is on your side, and the smartest move might be letting things develop naturally.

Remember, Aquarius. Even Tool fans eventually need someone to explain what the the song is about.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Artificial Brain – Planet Carrion

Pisces (Feb 19 – March 20)

Metalhead Horoscope For Pisces

Pisces, congratulations! People are finally noticing your talents instead of treating you like the emotionally unstable roadie who cries during Type O Negative ballads.

The spotlight is yours but don’t suddenly develop a Gene Simmons-sized ego just because somebody recognized your brilliance. Humility is your secret weapon this week, and apparently it’s working better than your usual strategy of daydreaming about success while accomplishing absolutely fuck-all.

Fresh starts and unexpected opportunities are coming. You could go from hauling amplifiers to running the entire record label before you realize what’s happening.

And here’s the kicker: You’ve got talents you haven’t even discovered yet. Stop assuming you’re only qualified to play tambourine when you might secretly be the next Randy Rhoads.

Show them what you’ve got, Pisces. Just remember who carried your gear before you became a rock god.

Your Lucky Song of The Week: Vurtist – Fck The Depression

UNTIL NEXT WEEK, YOU COSMIC DEGENERATES…

Mercury’s still walking backward, everybody’s hearing whatever the fuck they want, and common sense has apparently canceled its entire world tour.

So read the fine print, keep your horns high, and stop blaming the planets for decisions you made while operating with the brainpower of a concussed bass player.

Stay loud, stay sharp, and for fuck’s sake, think before you hit SEND.

May your riffs be heavy and your cosmic bullshit manageable. Stay wicked

Metalhead Horoscope F.A.Q.

Q: Are these horoscopes real astrology or just jokes for metalheads?

A: Both. The horoscopes come from actual astrological forecasts, but the language is written in pure metalhead tongue- in-cheek because you deserve prophecy that sounds like a pit, not a PTA meeting.

Q: How do we pick the Lucky Song of the Week?

A: Each track is hand picked to echo the week’s cosmic vibe. If Mars is throwing horns, expect riffs sharp enough to cut steel. If the Moon is weeping in Virgo, you’ll get a track that slays with precision. No boring playlists, no cookie cutter picks. Just new drops, deep cuts and cult classics.

Q: Can metal really mix with astrology?

A: Of course. Both are about cycles, transformation, and intensity. Astrology tells you where the stars are screaming and metal tells you how to scream back.

Q: Why should I care about astrology if I only worship riffs and distortion?

A: Because the cosmos is basically the ultimate tour manager that’s setting the stage, flipping the lights, and sometimes cancelling the gig. You don’t have to believe in it to bang your head to it.

Q: Do we take requests for Lucky Songs in our horoscopes?

A: Absolutely. Drop your ideas in the comments or shoot us a message. We might just spin your favorite band into the cosmic setlist next week.

Q: Does Metal Lair have other series like this?

A: Yes! Metal Lair runs several signature series that explore every corner of heavy music:

  • Seven Deadly Songs – A weekly roundup of the most unholy new releases.
  • Deep Cuts: Metal’s Hidden Gems and lost recordings from rock and metal history.
  • A Rip in Time: Women in Metal – A series celebrating the voices, pioneers, and rule-breakers reshaping heavy music’s DNA
  • World Metal Weekly – A global passport through the underground, one country at a time.
  • Ministry of Metal – A satirical authority devoted to the laws, rituals, and unspoken rules of heavy music. Features proclamations, decrees, cultural edicts, metal lore, and an original comic book series, all delivered with humor and bite.
  • Metal Legacy Profiles – Deep dive essays honoring artists who shaped metal’s sound, culture, and philosophy. These aren’t timelines or greatest-hits lists, but examinations of impact, conflict, evolution, and what each figure left behind.
  • Road Riffs: Metal On The Map – We take metal beyond the speakers and onto the highway, exploring legendary venues, scene-defining cities, historic landmarks, local haunts, and travel stops tied to real
metal scenes around the world that every metalhead should experience.
