Swedish architects of melancholy Katatonia are heading back to North America in early 2026, bringing their brooding, atmospheric heaviness across the continent in support of their latest album, Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking State.
The tour kicks off February 5, 2026 in Montclair, New Jersey, with Katatonia joining Opeth as main support on a run of North American dates. In between those appearances, the band will also step out on their own for a handful of select headline shows, giving fans additional chances to experience the new material in a more intimate setting.
Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking State, out now via Napalm Records, continues Katatonia’s long-standing exploration of emotional weight, restraint, and atmosphere — a fitting companion to Opeth’s expansive live performances.
